Event Description

A chance to see an historic treasure and piece of history.  Admiral House, at Admiral Mountain, Coopers Hill.

This the private home of Mr and Mrs Lewis, who have very kindly agreed to host our Hash group.

Vast views, looking south, east and west from this home of the once Admiral of the British fleet.  A gentel hike of 4.5km, along old, quiet roads and an uphill forest trail.

No rivers to cross!  A gentle walk with a bit of puff at the end!

Curried chicken, rice and peas and vegetables. OR A vegetarian stew. Please please make your order on line. We need to know numbers.

Hash Directions

A short drive from Kingston. Admiral House is atop Coopers Hill, St Andrew.
It is a 20 min journey from the Total gas station which is at the bottom of Red Hills road, at the junction of Perkins Blvd/Red Hills road.
Drive all the way up Red Hills road, and pass through Red Hills Square and past the Red Hills police station.
Once you pass through Red Hills square, keep going for a few minutes until you reach the 2nd RIGHT turn off Red Hills Rd. This turn is on to Coopers Hill Road. There will be a JAH3 sign.
(NB. Do not take the 1st right turn after Red Hill square! You’ll get lost!)
Turn on to Coopers Hill Road and just follow the road for 2.1km, do not take deviations.
After 2.1km you will see a JAH3 sign on a telegraph post, to turn LEFT up a private drive. That is Admiral House.
NB NB NB. Limited parking at the venue. Pleas all park at the side of the private driveway, which leads up to the house and walk (!) to the House. 100/200metre.

Hash Extras

Hashers may visit the small museum at Admiral House. Price $300JA each. There is a display of Lord Nelson artefacts and fine history told by Mrs Lewis about the house and Lord Nelson. There is a swimming pool which Hashers will be permitted to use. It is small and not for a pool party! Gentle dipping
