How We Got There:

This is easy!. Only 5 minutes from Manor Park. Start the drive up Stony Hill. The location is the jerk centre on the right side of the road, as you approach the sharp, left hand, hair pin bend on the hill. (See attached picture). If you reach the top of Stony Hill, you have gone way past it! PARKING. On side of road, in front of the premises.

Winding roads, greenery and the smell of crisp fresh air are what one will encounter on the journey to the St Andrew community known as Red Gal Ring. The hairpin corner, which is arguably one of the deepest on the way from St Andrew to places such as Golden Spring, St Mary and Portland, has been a mystery to many for several years. Believed the area got its name long before Jamaica received Independence in 1962. Believed that when the British was here before Independence, the English soldiers always lined up outside and passers-by would shout, 'Reds gathering'.
