Run #257

Mar Bella Estate, St. Thomas

Sunday, 18 Nov, 2007

Start Time:
13:00
Hares:
Cockpit, St. Paddy's Revenge
About:
It was a long hot afternoon in a nice spot, gentle waves washing on to a black sandy beach at Mar Bella Estate! The Hares, Cockpit and St. Paddy's Revenge, working as an all Harriette's team, are having great success scouting out new locations all over the island. This beach front ON IN was a great new addition to a hasher's map of Jamaica. Even though you would have to get to know the owners or even perhaps buy a lot there to get another invitation. Certainly these two harriettes are living up to their reputation as prolific hares! They sent us steeply up a hill in the broiling hot midday sun and down hill along a dry watercourse through almost endless macca trees, not forgetting about the beer and water stop! The promised "cave" was sort of a dug well, with what seemed to be a tunnel going off to one side. I'd rather interest the Jamaican Caves Organization in exploring where it goes to, than embarking on it myself. After the ordeal was over we relaxed in the sea and enjoyed the beach, the Hash Circle was spirited with two hashers being christened, and the food was good. The afternoon therefore ended on a high note. Thanks to the Harriettes, ON ON! Yours truly BMW and my editor Maniac!
